A suitable training room needs to be provided.  This venue for on-site training needs to meet key criteria to get the most out of high quality training material and an interactive and highly competent trainer.

On Site Closed Course Requirements

• On-site training needs a clean room with plenty of space and natural lighting.
• Most seating arrangements can be accommodated based on the type of training provided and the numbers of delegates involved in the training.
• The company hosting the on site training needs to provide tea or coffee for the delegates on arrival in the training room and also at morning after afternoon breaks.
• It is also advisable that lunch is provided at the training venue so that the temptation to be drawn into issues of the day is avoided.

On Site Closed Course Features

• Unlike open courses, closed courses are delivered just to your people. This can help you to build a company culture, where training becomes an integral part of the business.
• When closed courses are delivered at your premises, you save money on hiring an external training facility and also on the time and traveling costs of your delegates.
• If you opt for half day training sessions, you can also choose to put the skills learned into real time practice as soon as the training session ends.
• There is also the option of customising the training to your line of business. You can also choose to focus on a particular area of skill that you know you need to strengthen.
• All you incur with an on site closed course is the cost of the delivery of the training itself and the provision of a suitable training room at your premises.

John Hansell is the Managing Director of Interpersonal Development. He lives in Narborough, West Norfolk. His passion for writing and delivering interactive training was kindled when he was instrumental in the development of key account manager training for field sales people and telemarketeers for the European subsidiaries of Burroughs Corporation. The results are incorporated in the courses that he currently develops and delivers. He has had extensive experience in sales and marketing management roles for Burroughs Corporation, Kalamazoo Business Systems, Hydrovane, Flex Ops, Pandora Books, Glazing Vision and for Jarrold Training. He is a qualified teacher and is also a holder of the Diploma of Direct Marketing. When John is not available to deliver training, then experienced associate trainers will be used instead.
